Blush On You Might Want to Try

Rosy cheeks are a sign that you look fresh, happy and inviting! Who wouldn’t want to have a little extra glow while around campus or chilling at the mall. I went to Beauty Bar a few weeks ago with the mission to find myself some good blush for the school year. These were my top picks.

Smashbox O-glow:

Price: Php1150

According to the packet the smashbox o-glow has intuitive cheek color with goji berry-c complex. Meaning it automatically adjusts the shade and hue of the blush so it will match your skin tone and transform into your natural blush. It’s also supposed to be loaded with antioxidants (oxidants tend to neutralize the free radicals that can cause cell decomposition) like Vitamin C, pomegranate seed oil and marine plankton (oh really?). Okay, I don’t really believe all of the intuitive cheek color claims but it still provides me with a natural flush, which looked and felt unique to me. The gel seemed to glide on smoothly and a little goes a long way with this product just be sure to blend and blend since this is a gel blush.

Model Co. Cheek tint:

Price: Php 1000++

I’ve always loved Model Co items because their products look professional and are handy enough for you to carry anywhere.

The Model Co Cheeky Tint can be used on both your cheeks and lips. This is good so that you’re assured that your lip color matches your cheek color. It gave a deeper color than the one from smashbox so if you get this I would suggest to be careful. It spreads evenly though and gives a beautiful tint when applied sparingly. Since it’s a tint blush one of its features is that it’s long lasting and will probably last you the entire day (no need to reapply)

Pout Flush Blush:

Pout has some of the most beautifully packaged products I’ve ever seen. Just take a look at the packaging of their flush blush. Their products look artistic and have tasteful names, who wouldn’t take a second look upon seeing that blush on?

Be careful when applying this because the color is warm. What I liked about the flush blush was that unlike the previous two blush’s it gave a dewy like finish, making you look like you just came out of the shower with that perfect natural glow. It also provides a bit of a gleam so there’s no need to wear highlighter with it. The shape of the stick is also perfect for contouring your cheekbones thus you can use this if you would like to go for the chiseled high cheekbones look.

DuWop Blush Therapy

I’ve always loved DuWop products because they have always have some added oomph. Kind of like their lip venom line (which plumps up your lips).

This award-winning blush also gives a dewy finish yet feels less moist on your skin. What I like about it is that it is a cream to powder blush, meaning it is easy to apply (not messy) and blends well but still has a good lasting power without feeling thick or sticky.This one is definitely a winner, it’s creamy and easy to blend and it definitely gives you a glow. The circumference of the stick makes it very easy to apply to the apples of your cheek, fitting it perfectly. I would definitely recommend this for students who are always on the go.
